God's finest Angels on Earth

Every once in a while you run across some of God's finest angels on earth. People put down in a certain place at a certain time around certain people to bless their lives. These two women that I have crossed paths with have been just that. Darby and Stephanie. I have never seen such an example of love, frienship, and selflessness as I have seen in these women. They have been such a crutch and support for my sister in Saratoga Springs. They have their own families and trials and yet have been there to do anything and everything to help my sister out. To you I say THANK YOU! To you I say what a beautiful example of selflissness you are. To you I say thank you for being some of God's finest angels. To you I say thank you for your example. To you I say thank for your friendship to my sister and for being like a sister to her. I am in AWE!

Wasatch Back Ragnar Relay 2010

"The Running of the Fools" 2010 Wasatch Back Relay. What a blast we had! We laughed we cried we even danced!
Think you can't you can. Me with my brother in-law Brian who ran this race in the middle of chemotherapy. What an inspiration! This race is tough for any runner let alone running it feeling like you have the worst case of the flu ever. Brian kept on running and ran even when he was so exhausted and felt so sick. He had some very tough legs in the race some straight up hill and he was AMAZING!! I look at him and I am in "AWE". What an inspiration Brian.
One of these things is not like the other...... Yes, I was the only girl in the van and heard my share of "poop" stories and "Look out hot chick running" statements. I loved every minute of it. I got to spend time with family and friends and it was truly a BLAST.

Chad told Brian a few months ago that if he was still able to run Ragnar that he would shave his head-he forgot to tell me and the morning before the race I went into the bathroom early in the morning anf found my husband bald-it was a shock but I got used to it!

Months and months of training and dragging our rear ends out of bed to run together finally lead us to this race. I am so proud of Chad and so proud of both of us that we finally made it and survived this race. Hat's off to you Chad you ran and kept on running.

Need I say more...... Us after the race sore and exhausted! But would I do it again-I don't know ask me in a few months!
Brian...you inspire me. I have learned to stop my complaining because I have seen you keep on going even when you feel like you can't go another step. Thanks for showing us all to keep on keepin on through it all. Word can't say how proud we all are of you ! You are an INSPIRATION.

Ok, so there was a team that ran in speedo's so I just had to get a picture right?

Me and Rosie. So proud of her. She took on running just for this race and she did awesome!

At an exchange about half way though. So many people everywhere. Good to know there are others that are as crazy as me!

What-how'd that get there?

Finally, the hand off. This was my hardest leg and I have to say it kicked my butt!

Hills, hills and more hills, will they ever stop??

Little Moments....

Oh little moments captured that make your heart smile! While having a tea party Kayla said,"Who will say the prayer on the food?". Then she said she would say it-Please bless Grandma and Grandpa and Brian and Melanie and bless Brian to feel better and Melanie to feel better and thank you for Jesus, Amen. I know I shouldn't be capturing photos during a prayer but I just couldn't resist because the camera was in my hand and how sweet is that?? Oh little moments that make you grateful to be a mother.

ONE RIDE....

So I was listening to the radio and this religious song came on and it touched me:

He never thought he cared so much about the minute hand Until he started praying for a second chance. If he could only do it all again And trade the long nights that he spent behind his desk For all he missed He tells his wife I wish that this moment in this room Was not me dying but just spending a little time with you. You only get just one time around, you only get one shot at this. One chance to find out the one thing that you don’t wanna miss. One day when it’s all said and done I hope you see that it was enough. This one ride, one try, one life to love.

Enjoy YOUR ride. Wherever it takes you. Don't let a minute pass you by.

I......

I...smile because I am happy
I...cry because it hurts so bad to see loved ones going through trials and stand helpless
I...pray because I know after all the tears have fallen all that's left is faith in the lord
I...see how life can change in the blink of an eye and what you have today you might not have tomorrow
I...realize that some of the things I worry about DON'T really matter at all
I...realize it's not the THINGS that matter but the relationships we have formed
I...realized I don't say I love you enough to those around me
I...have alot to learn on this journey of life and hope I never lose my focus on what's important.

To those of you going through trials that seem too much to bear may the lord bless you! And know how much I love you!
